Institute of Quality Development Strategy of Wuhan University (IQDS) is inviting oversea outstanding talents in the pursuit of a world-class international research institute.
Description
IQDS is an interdisciplinary institute specialized in applying economic methods to research on economic development quality in Wuhan University. Since its foundation in 2007, IQDS has established long-term partnerships with renowned economists from the world top academic institutes such as Stanford University, Duke University, Toulouse University, Waseda University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Chinese University of Hong Kong. Recently, IQDS has completed “China Employer-Employee Survey” (CEES) in cooperation with Tsinghua University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In the survey, a large quantity of data have been collected by stratified random sampling from more than 1,000 enterprises and over 10,000 employees in China. CEES is well acknowledged as valuable database for economic transformation and development research among international economic academics. Based on the data, IQDS is expanding cooperative research with world well-known economists for top research papers.

Qualifications of prospective applicants
1. Junior economists
Under age of 40.
Obtained a Ph.D. degree in a prestigious oversea university or academic institute.
Successful applicants that meet the qualifications of National Outstanding Young Scholar Awardees, the National Recruitment Program of Global Experts initiated by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee or Outstanding Young Scholars will be granted with title of Associate Professor or above.
Ph.D. graduates with high academic potential will be employed as post doctorate with sponsorship.
2. Distinguished experts
Proven work experience in a prestigious oversea university or academic institute.
In-depth knowledge and internationally well-recognized academic achievements in related fields.
Potential to achieve or maintain advanced international academic capabilities in the related subject.
Foreign experts are preferred.
Salaries and Benefits
An annual salary of about RMB 400,000 (approximately USD 60,000, depending on the exchange rate) is offered to young scholars, and an annual salary of about RMB 600,000 (approximately USD 90,000, depending on the exchange rate) is offered to distinguished experts.
Successful candidates will receive all benefits offered by Wuhan University, including competitive salaries, living allowances, research sponsorship and other preferential policies as well as nice work environment.
IQDS will provide additional and negotiable support on graduate student mentoring, research funds and living allowances.
