Abstract: With the development of economic globalization, South Korea is facing an increasingly open market for agricultural products, which has posed a serious challenge on its weak agriculture. The South Korean government, to meet consumers’ demand for urgent food safety, is seeking new ways to develop their agriculture by strengthening and introducing a series of policies and regulations. The author, taking consideration of the consumers’ awareness of food safety and makes a detailed analysis of the functions and related policies and regulations of Korean food safety regulatory agencies and explains the major food safety certification system and performance. On this basis, the author concludes and summarizes the revelation of Korea’s food safety system to China and shows the prospect of future.
