China's Food Safety Comprehensive Evaluation: 2008-2013

Abstract: This paper has constructed a comprehensive evaluation index system of food security in China.Food-quantity safety, food-quality safety and sustainability of food safety are all the components of this system.Through this system, this paper uses principal component analysis to research the level of China’s regional food safety from 2008 to 2013.Firstly, from the dates of 2012, this paper sums up that east regions have higher level food safety than its west counterpart.In order to discover the reason above, cluster analysis is used to analyze the six principal components, and then we found that geographical location is closely related to the level of food safety.Secondly, this paper studies the trends of food safety from 2008 to 2013 and  finals that China’s food safety level continue to improve However,it is worth noting that the gap between the regions is gradually lager.
