Abstract: There are lots of literature reviews on the quality of China’s economic growth research, but for the connotation and evaluation standard of economic growth quality research based on value added rate, it did not get the attention its deserve. This paper tries to review from the perspective of value added rate to get a overall situation of the China’s economic growth quality research progress. Through the review of research about value added rate and China’s economic growth quality at home and abroad, we try to find the relationship between value added rate and economic growth quality; the macro and micro application of value added rate in evaluation of economic growth quality; and the main influencing factors of value added rate changes. Finally, this paper did a outlook of the role of value added rate in evaluation of China’s economic growth quality under the context of new normal economic growth rate.
