Abstract: Based on the evaluation results of the satisfaction level of environmental quality，which is concluded in the China Quality Development Report 2012 conducted by Institute of Quality Development Strategy, Wuhan University. By drawing the scatter diagram of the relation between residents’satisfaction level of environmental quality in different cities as well as other areas and the local GDP per Capita. It is indicated that，while GDP per Capita is under CNY50，000，the curve of the quantity of pollutant emission is almost identical to the one describing the satisfactory level about the environmental quality when it comes to the rising part. Based on the cross section data from cities of different GDP per Capita, the degree of environmental quality satisfaction and its relevant issue, the key factors which influence the environmental quality satisfaction in various places have been summarized by applying the correlation analysis method. It can be concluded that the air quality affects the overall environmental quality satisfaction positively when GDP per Capita is below CNY50,000.Conversely, the air quality affects the overall environmental quality satisfaction negatively when GDP per Capita exceeds CNY50，000，which is the most significant contributor to the decline of environmental quality satisfaction.
