This book provides a new perspective of evaluating the economic growth quality (EGQ), which is important to understand why China has experienced more than 30 years rapid economic growth but people do not feel happy. A model of economic growth quality evaluation is constructed, consisting households’ evaluation of economic welfare, social life and personal life. The author of this book make use of the first EGQ survey data to do the empirical study. The research of this book is beneficial to the policy-makers who want to know more about the people’s opinion on economic growth quality. It’s also good material for EGQ researchers as there are plenty of firsthand data and empirical analysis that do not appear in other researches.
