On March 24, Professor Cheng Hong, Dean of IQDS, was invited to make a keynote speech in the study seminar for the Central Panel of Xianning Municipal Committee. The meeting is chaired by Ding Xiaoqiang, Party Secretary of Xianning Municipality and Director of Standing Committee of Xianning Municipal People’s Congress.
In his report, Cheng Hong delivered and explained China’s traditional economic development model, the new economic normal from demand-oriented management to supply-oriented management, major target to improve supply quality, quality as the best solution to the lasting battle for the supply-side structural reform, and reform as supply-side structural essence in the range of the supply-side structural reform.
Ding Xiaoqiang said, implementation of the supply-side structural reform is essential to fostering new driving forces to Xianning’s development and speeding up the green rise of Xianning. To prepare for this lasting battle, the government of all levels and sectors of Xianning should take down-to-earth measures and put them into practice; they should strengthen their accountability and change their working style to promote the effective implementation of the supply-side structural reform; they should enhance their bottom-line thinking and carry on inspection and assessment; they should carry out each task required by the supply-side structural reform.
