On October 11, 2018, the Competition Policy and High-Quality Economic Development Research Center (CPQEDRC) was jointly founded and officially unveiled by China Society of Market Supervision (CSMS) and IQDS in order to provide think-tank support for building market environment for fair competition and promoting the national economy to high-quality development.
Mr. Xin He, President of CSMS, and Mr. Zhuanghai Shen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, jointly unveiled the establishment of the research center (CPQEDRC). Professor Hong Cheng, Dean of IQDS, and Mr. Hongxu Li, Vice President and Secretary General of CSMS signed the agreement of co-founding.
Professor Hong Cheng presented the general ideas and master plan of founding the research center. The research center will uphold the national strategic development needs and requirements and the values of “scientists’ thinking mode and migrant workers’ working style”, contribute to China’s high-quality economic development by maximizing the function of market and activating its endogenous driving forces, and disseminate the miraculous aspects of China’s reform and opening up to the globe.
The founding of the research center is of tremendous significance, not only conforming to the current periodic characteristics and trend of China’s economic development, but also solidly promoting the reform and innovation of market regulation. It will provide think-tank service and support for China’s market regulation reform and innovation as well as high-quality economic development.
China Society of Market Supervision (CSMS) is the only academic institute focusing on theoretical study, academic activities, dissemination and publicity in market regulation under the direct management of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).
