On June 14, the 19th “Luojia Quality Academic Forum (Biweekly)" was held in IQDS. Prof. Richard A. Posthuma in the College of Business Administration at the University of Texas at El Paso was invited as a keynote speaker. Prof. Hong Cheng, Director of the Institute of Quality Development Strategy, the faculty and students attended the forum.
The forum consists of two parts, with the theme of "Frontier of Conflict Management" and "How to Get Published in Social Science Classification Index Journals". Prof. Posthuma first introduced the current frontier research of conflict management, conflict resolution and conflict management, as well as his research findings about the impact of national culture on personal performance and corporate performance. Subsequently, Prof. Posthuma elaborated on "How to publish an SSCI paper" and shared his experiences and the way to publish high quality SSCI papers. After that, there was a heated discussion among participants about the topic "how to publish high-quality SSCI papers" and related issues including submission cycle, China's ownership and other facts.
Prof. Hong Cheng extended his warm welcome to Prof. Posthuma. He commented that Prof. Posthuma had rich experience in finding problems of China issues, including the conflict between employers and employees, which deserves the attention of our teachers and students. Through this academic exchange, the two sides found a lot of research in common, which laid a good foundation for in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the future.
Professor Posthuma is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Conflict Management (IJCM). His research mainly focuses on the issue of employer and employee relationship, including incentives, discrimination, trade union governance and labor contracts, etc.
