Recently, Journal of Macro-quality Research entered into the eligible list of extended version of source journals (2017-2018) of Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) after the rigorous information collection, statistics, review and selection of Institute for Chinese Social Sciences Research and Assessment, Nanjing University.
Journal of Macro-quality Research (JMR), founded by Institute of Quality Development Strategy (IQDS) in 2013, is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary academic journal in quality area. It aims to take joint efforts of all specialties to address urgent quality problems in China and make collaborative innovation. Due to its strategic specialty and orientation, JMR was approved to set up and quickly obtained its International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) with the support of relevant authorities.
Among various Chinese academic journals, JMR is featured by its well-received think-tank function. It is problem-oriented and focuses on the most significant quality issues in China for research projects in macro-quality management. Its 21 articles received important instructions by the state and provincial leaders, providing think-tank service for leaders of all government levels as well as promoting reform in macro-quality management systems.
JMR received the intensive attention of the “Four Chinese Reads” including Xinhua Digest, Chinese Social Science Digest, China University Academic Abstracts, and Journal Reproduction of Renmin University, and since its founding, up to 41 articles have been reproduced by the “Four Chinese Reads”, with a reproduction ratio of 24%. In the reproduction of the special issue “National Economic Management of Journal Reproduction of Renmin University, JMR ranked its top list, ranking 11th in 2013, 10th 2014 and 13th 2015. According to the annual report, the annual impact indicator of Macro Quality Research is 159.697 in 2016, and it has ranked 12th among journals for economic planning and management. The annual composite impact factor of Macro Quality Research is 1.326, which ranks 9th in the disciplines; its comprehensive impact factor is 1.011, which ranks 5th; the impact factor in humanities and social sciences is 0.926, which ranks 3rd.
JMR has been adhering to the international high-quality development model since its founding. It is oriented to be a both internationally and domestically well-received leading journal. It has been continuously engaging itself in international academic exchange and narrowing the gap to international paradigms. Its entry to the eligible list of extended version of source journals make a significant difference to its international upgrading and development.
Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI, Chinese: 中文社会科学引文索引) is an interdisciplinary citation index program in China. It was developed by Nanjing University since 1997 and was established in 2000. This citation database covers about 500 Chinese academic journals of humanities and social sciences. Now many leading Chinese universities and institutes use CSSCI as a basis for the evaluation of academic achievements and promotion.
