A Construction and Development Seminar on Journal of Macro-quality Research (JMR) was held in IQDS on January 11, 2017. The directors of editorial departments of major liberal arts journals in Wuhan were invited to attend the meeting to discuss the current situation, development problems and future prospects of Journal of Macro-quality Research.
This meeting was chaired by Song Qiong, Director of JMR, Cheng Hong, Editor-in-chief of JRM, attended the meeting through Skype video, and major personnel of Editorial Department of JMR and all the faculty members of Research Department attended the meeting as well.
During this meeting, Cheng Hong first analyzed the current development situation and major problems of Journal of Macro-quality Research. He said, Journal of Macro-quality Research adhered to its clear academic orientation of cross-disciplinary research, and especially featured in applying economic methods to economic quality research. Since its three-year founding, great achievements have been obtained in its development, but it was also faced with various challenges such as inadequate awareness of problems, deficient editorial mechanism
Wang Xiaoqing, Associate Director of JMR, further analyzed the current development of the journal with exhaustive factual data. According to the data, the functions of JMR as academic communication platform and think tank came into effect, starting a shift from academic communication-oriented to academic pioneer-oriented. However, the themes of JMR need be concentrated, the majority of readers outside the campus strengthened, and foreign manuscripts and special issues further improved.
The present experts confirmed the achievements of Journal of Macro-quality Research obtained since its founding, and offered their constructive advice for the development of JMR.
