On December 7, Director Xiang Yan of Collaboration and Publishing of Science China (Asia) visited IQDS and had a meeting with Song Qiong, Deputy Dean of IQDS, Doctor Li Dandan, Director of Research Department, Doctor Luo Lianfa, Deputy Director of Research Department and other teachers involved. They discussed about the possible cooperation in scientific research, co-host journals, international conference and other areas.
Song Qiong first introduced the development of IQDS, and Luo Lianfa and Li Dandan introduced CEES from the background, survey goals, values, quality as well as achievements obtained in international cooperation.
Xiang Yan introduced the basic information of Science Magazine. She said, the research in Humanities and Social Sciences of Wuhan University are well recognized among the universities in China, and IQDS, as the highlight and featured institute in Humanities and Social Sciences of Wuhan University, focused on the hot issues widely concerned in China and even the whole world and obtained many achievements worthy of attention and coverage. Since this year, Science has paid more attention to China’s research in Humanities and Social Sciences, which is a good opportunity for the development of both Science and IQDS. She hoped to publicize more good Chinese research achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences to the world on the platforms of Science and harvest win-win results.
On the meeting, they had a discussion on the social focuses including “relationship between firm innovation and the government” “growth of migrant workers and urbanization” “Chinese entrepreneurs' spirit of innovation and survival of zombie firms” proposed by IQDS based on CEES data, and made further communication on specific approaches and methods of cooperation in future.
