On December 23, Zhang Donggang, Director of Social Science Department of Ministry of Education, visited IQDS for examination and exchange with the company of Luo Yuting, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University and Shen Zhuanghai, president of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Cheng Hong, Dean of IQDS, introduced the achievements obtained in scientific research, talent cultivation, think-tank construction and transformation of research results and highlighted the presentation of the big-data-based quality safety information network monitoring and warning platform (Shendu Network) and the research results of China Employer-Employee Survey. Cheng Hong said, IQDS harvested great achievements because it stuck to the values of diligence and pragmatism, actively caught up with the needs of national development strategies and insisted on inter-disciplinary and cross-platform collaborative and innovative research.
Zhang Donggang pointed out, the core of academics is patriotism. All the academic institutes and scholars should keep the idea of serving the country and society in mind. IQDS obtained its fruitful results by well practicing the “indomitable spirit”. He said, Wuhan University was expected to integrate relevant resources to further enhance research in education quality, serve national development strategies and promote the full development of China’s quality.
