The paper titled “Skill Complementarities and Returns to Higher Education: Evidence from College Enrollment Expansion in China” by IQDS as the first author, was recently published on Issue No.64.2017 of China Economic Review, one of SSCI journals.
By studying the impact of college enrollment expansion on higher education wage premium, the research shows that the increased supply of college graduates resulting from college enrollment expansion in China increases college premiums for older cohorts. To explain this phenomenon, the paper builds a complementary model that considers complementarities among workers of different ages and different skill levels, which predicts that the college premium of senior workers increases with the supply of young college graduates when skill is a scarce resource.
It was reported that "China Economic Review" was classified as a Q2 Journal of SSCI-Economics in 2016 with impact factor of 1.36, which is one of the most influential economic journals to study China's economic issues.
