Quality culture is a part of the corporate culture. It reflects that the firms lay emphasis on quality development. Quality culture can lead the behavior of enterprises, so that enterprises can promote the upgrading of product quality through different ways, thus influencing the performance of enterprises. Then what is the relationship between corporate quality culture and corporate profitability? What impact will the quality culture heterogeneity of different enterprises have on the improvement of profit? The 7th volume of Chinese Journal of Management in 2017 published the paper "An empirical Study of Quality Culture Heterogeneity Associated with Corporate Profit" written by Prof. Hong Cheng and Mr. Wenjin Chen. The paper focuses on the above-mentioned issue and makes research findings.
Successful enterprises usually have a unique corporate culture, special development and management skill and organizational strength. The quality culture is part of the corporate culture, which shows that the enterprises focus on the quality development. They make efforts to improve product quality and gain profits through quality culture. The paper defines and classifies quality culture into 5 categories including creative ability, professional spirit, satisfying the demand, staff participation and quality control from the perspective of quality culture. The Competitive Value Frame (CVF) was introduced and the quality culture heterogeneity was analyzed. According to regression analysis, it found that meeting the demand-quality culture has a great impact on corporate profits; the establishment of quality culture has a positive influence on the quality input and quality output, thereby enhancing the profitability of enterprises.
