Recently, Wuhan University has released its review results of Young Scholar Independent Scientific Research Project in Humanities and Social Sciences in 2017. The projects applied by the five faculties of IQDS, Song Shilei, Luo Lianfa, Yu Hongwei, Deng Yue and Gao Juan, were successfully approved.
The projects applied by the five faculties cover the research on the formation and countermeasures of “zombie firms”, the modern transformation of Chinese traditional craftsman spirit, the formation and countermeasures of “zombie firms” from the perspective of government behavior, the impact of social security input on product quality of manufacturing enterprises and the impact of labor quality and employment stability on product quality of manufacturing enterprises.
Yu Hongwei’s project, “Research on the formation and countermeasures of ‘zombie firms’”, is aimed to explore how the government intervention works on the firm and results in “zombie firms” and dynamically disclose the process and internal mechanism that the government intervention leads to “zombie firms”.
Song Shilei’s project, “Research on the modern transformation of Chinese tradition craftsman spirit”, sets out to study the characteristics of and the cultural factors inhibiting traditional Chinese craftsman spirit and explore the spiritual basis of modern industrial civilization to build the shift mechanism of Chines traditional craftsman spirit.
Luo Lianfa’s project, “Research on the formation and countermeasures of ‘zombie firms’ from the perspective of government behavior” is targeted to build a theoretical model between the government behavior and the formation of “zombie firms”, theoretically explain the institution forming the “zombie firms”, verify the theoretical presumptions based on the CEES data and propose policies to eliminate the “zombie firms”.
Deng Yue’s project, “Empirical Research on the impact of social security input on product quality of manufacturing enterprises”, is designed to examine the impact of social security input on product quality from the actual payment rate of enterprises, employees’ insurance rate and insurance coverage based on the CEES survey data.
Gao Juan’s project, “Empirical Research on the impact of labor quality and employment stability on product quality of manufacturing enterprises”, is aimed to analyze the impact of labor quality and employment stability on product quality of enterprises from the internal perspective of enterprises and propose policies of transformation and upgrading for manufacturing enterprises.
