Commissioned by Hanchuan Municipal Government, 50 faculties and students of IQDS went to Hanchuan and conducted a three-day “Survey on Industrial Transformation and Upgrading in Hanchuan” during March 7 and 9. This survey was aimed to investigate the current development situations, existing problems and future development paths of enterprises in Hanchuan and provide intellectual support for manufacturing enterprises in Hanchuan.
The survey was conducted by onsite interview and questionnaire investigation in enterprises. More than 96 enterprises above designated size were sampled and investigated, covering a variety of industries such as clothing, baby stroller, food, metal products and electronics. In total, chief persons in charge and general managers have been interviewed for over 190 hours and 192 questionnaires been collected on quality innovation as well as transformation and upgrading in enterprises. Through this survey, an overall understanding of the investigated enterprises was achieved in their development history, current situation and future planning, which laid a fundamental basis for an in-depth analytical report on transformation and upgrading of enterpirses in Hanchuan.
Theoretical depth cannot be reached without a good understanding of the economic reality, neither can social values be achieved. Since its funding, IQDS has been facing up to real problems and insisting on empirical studies. IQDS is devoted to experiencing the development reality of first-line enterprises and feeling the pulse of Chinese economy. Taking advantage of its theoretical and research strengths, IQDS provides intellectual support for enterprises’ transformation and upgrading and regional economic development.
