Professor Cheng Hong Invited to Make a Keynote Speech in World Bank Jobs and Development Conference

During November 2 to 3 at Washington DC time, Professor Cheng Hong was invited to make a keynote speech titled “How do Chinese enterprises deal with rising labor costs?” in World Bank “Job and Development” Conference.


At the meeting, Cheng Hong made an introduction to the research results of China Employer-Employee Survey (CEES), and Professor Nancy Chau from Cornell University, Doctor Iga Magda from EU Structural Transformation Research Center and Professor Tim Grindling from the University of Maryland and other experts present showed great interest in his presentation.


Cheng Hong made in-depth discussions with the experts and scholars worldwide on the hot topics such as technological progress and employment changes, human capital quality and income inequality, labor conflicts, employment discrimination and labor market regulation.
