Recently, Professor Cheng Hong was invited to serve as guest editor of Special Issue of International Journal of Conflict Management (IJCM, SSCI journal). An international conference on “Conflicts in China during its transition” will be held in Wuhan University during June 10 to 20, 2017. The Conference call for papers has been posted on the official website of Emerald.The convening of this international conference is of great significance, and will greatly enhance the world influence of IQDS in academic research and further promote the international process of IQDS.
Reportedly, this international conference will be focused on the following five themes: conflicts in China’s economic development, conflicts between economics development and social governance, conflicts between urban residents and rural residents under the household registration system, conflicts between distribution of income and economic development model oriented to domestic demand. Now it is open to call for papers worldwide. This special issue’s editor is Professor Richard A Posthuma from University of Texas at El Paso, USA, and guest co-editor is Professor CHIN Tachia from Hangzhou Dianzi University.
In recent years, China Employer-Employee Survey (CEES) has received intensive attention from international scholars. Based on the survey, a series of high-quality research results have been produced. In June, 2007, 10 world famous economists including 2 Nobel Prize winners in economics will attend the upcoming CEES data workshop conference. Due to the special value of CEES data in academic research on conflicts and the international influence of IQDS in certain areas, the special issue focused on “conflicts in China during its transition” is organized and an international conference is ready to be held in Wuhan University.
