IQDS Invited to Introduce CEES Data in Meeting of Stanford APARC Alumni Association, Great Attention Received

On September 10, 2018, Professor Hong Chen, Dean of IQDS, and his research team, were invited to attend the meeting of Stanford APARC Alumni Association in Beijing, and also discussed the post-survey management and promotion of China Employer-Employee Survey (CEES) data with Institute of Social Science Survey of Peking University (iSSS) and National Survey Research Center at Renmin University of China (NSRC) in the meeting.


The meeting of Stanford APARC Alumni Association was held in Stanford Center of Peking University. Professor Gi-Wook Shin, Director of APARC, Professor Karen Eggleston, Deputy Director of APARC, Professor Jean Oi, Director of APARC China, Professor Takeo Hoshi, Director of APARC Japan, Professor Yong Suk Lee, Director of APARC South Korea, and dozens of alumni from Peking University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciencs and China National Petroleum Corporation attended the meeting.


At the meeting, Professor Gi-Wook Shin introduced a series of research programs jointly collaborated with IQDS in his opening speech. Research team of IQDS made an introduction to the CEES data in 2018, and the attendees showed great interest in the data during the introduction and were ardently asking for possible opportunities to cooperate with IQDS. During the meeting, Professor Hong Cheng and his colleagues also discussed their collaborative papers with Professor Takeo Hoshi and Professor Li’an Zhou from Peking University.


As reported, IQDS and Stanford University conducted a series of collaborative research programs. In October, 2017, China Research Center of Stanford University singed a long-term cooperation agreement with IQDS to conduct in-depth joint cooperation in aspects of writing collaborative international papers and mutually sending visiting scholars.
